I had heard so much about the pink city, so when I got a chance to visit it for a weeklong vacation period, I rushed to book tickets by flight. I opted for Indigo Airlines because it offered the lowest rates and also provided frequent flights between Bangalore and Jaipur.

My Indigo Airline flight from Bangalore to Jaipur lasted two hours and twenty minutes, during which time I was served light refreshments. This airline is India’s leading low cost carrier, offering quick and easy connectivity between key cities, but without the hassle of heavy flight ticket cost. My flight landed in the Jaipur Domestic Airport and I took the airport cab to my hotel.

Local Sightseeing at Jaipur: Simply Awesome!
The next morning I enjoyed complementary buffet style breakfast after which I booked a tourist cab to take me to the locations that I wanted to sight see in Jaipur. My first stop was at the grand Amber Fort and Palace, which took me back time of bygone royalty. I was mesmerized by the grandness of the structure and its interiors.
I then stopped over at the lovely City Palace, which impressed me with its huge complex of courtyards and gardens. This structure is the perfect blend of Rajasthani and Moghul architecture and it has the beautiful peacock garden where I took many photographs.
After that I went to visit at the Hawa Mahal. The lovely Jharokhas with the intricate latticework fascinated me and I glazed for many minutes at the five-storey structure shape in the form of Lord Krishna’s crown.
My visit to the lovely Kesar Kyari Bagh was lovely as the surroundings were simply fabulous. The only way to describe this place is that it is a Paradise on Earth. This garden was the place where Emperor Akbar rested whenever he came to Ajmer. This garden is in Maota Lake and lies just behind the Ajmer fort.
I also stopped over at the bustling Jaipur market to buy gemstones and silver jewelry. The small vendors selling these items were simply fabulous as they have the most exquisite works and I bought many a piece here. I then went back to the hotel. My flight was in the following day afternoon, so I set down to packing. In the morning, I took an airport cab to the hotel for my flight.
